Pastor Alan D. Kozy was raised in a Christian home. His father was a pastor for nearly 40 years and his mother served in the church as piano/organ player. As a young teenager, he felt the call from God to go into full-time Christian service in music. He was involved in Youth for Christ Orlando and attended Edgewater High School in Orlando, being involved in choir, band, orchestra, and musical theatre. After High School he attended Toccoa Falls College in northeast Georgia and received a B.S. degree in Music Education.

Upon his return to Orlando, Florida in 2003, he served as Youth and Music Director at Conway First Baptist Church before accepting the call into the pastorate in 2008. He attended New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and was the Associate Pastor at Dover Shores Baptist Church before launching Kaleo Church in 2013. Kaleo Church merged with Fellowship of Christian Life church and then merged with Downey Memorial Church in 2016, where he currently serves as Pastor. He has served on mission trips to Oklahoma, India, England, and Africa.
Outside of his church duties, Pastor Alan enjoys his family and spending time together with them.
